Pull the pulleys out of your deraileur. I bet the cage that hold's em will spring right open. That's what happend with my deraileur when I caught a spoke in it. Sorry to say it's probably fragged. I don't think you can replace just the pulley cage.

Sounds like the lower stop wasn't set right.
