First of all, they are called "Canada Geese". It's a name, not a nationality, just like the America's Cup (named after the boat America, not the country). Second, unless maybe you're someone who only got on a bike recently to beat gasoline prices, most people who cycle are also lovers of nature. If you're riding on bikepaths where there are geese, slow down and ride around them carefully. There were many on my ride along the Rideau Canal this morning, including many chicks. I love seeing them. But don't hit them. Those things are a pretty fair size.
