I have 26 inch wheels on my 58 cm Roberts Roughstuff. I prefer them to the 700c or 27inch wheels on my other touring bikes. I use 50mm schwalbe big apples which roll incredibly fast, and make the wheels feel just as fast as the 700c, but infinitely more stable and cushy.
