I was pretty much going to use the folder for around the city. Nothing too big like a long bike ride, just for convenience. So I don't really need that many gears.

Sammy, I read about downtube one of the discussions someone mentioned it in. I looked at their website and it didn't look very reliable to me. Plus I like the looks of the dahons, the look like they are built nice too.

Silverexpress, are you sure the rebranded REI bikes are by dahon?
