Freewheel removal from hub without wheel
There's a record hub for sale on eBay. It looks fine, but the hub isn't laced up to anything, and the freewheel is still on it.
Assuming the freewheel isn't seized in place (I know, a dangerous assumption), how would you get it off? Off the top of my head, I'm thinking of lacing the non-drive side up to a rim and twisting against a bench-mounted vice, but I'm open to ideas (preferably ones that have been proven to work) before I bid on this thing.
