Hayes brakes, 1.5" standard headtube, 8" rotors front and rear, and still heavy.

I've got my '04 X3 comming to me sometime this next week. the differences are so little to me that I could really care less. First thing that I will do when I get it will be removing the XT der. and swapping it for an Alevio. Then I will think about going to one chainring and chainguide/bashguard in the next two weeks.

For those who question my changing to Alevio is due to cost and I won't be nearly as disappointed when I rip it off. Might as well save the XT for one of my XC bikes.
