You know many of the drivers that yell and complain at cyclists for splitting lanes and not stopping are the same ones that buzz past you whether you take the lane or the bike lane and tell you get off the road even if you do follow the rules. Their complaints are merely to discourage cyclists!

If I were to stop at every stop sign, never filter, and always stay on the roads and not switch between pedestrian and vehicle mode, then I'd certainly be discouraged from riding my bike more.
