that sums it up. try them out. look around though too, see several stores and test ride. now i don't know what kind of money you have to throw around. but im still a noob, 18, and going to school next year. i had to by my own road bike and i got a CAAD9. sure i would have loved a madone or something carbon, but thats just not a possibility as far as money and the fact that i'm new. there are many things to learn.


i would say look for something a little more durable like aluminum or steel, but then get higher components like 105 minimum...
