IMHO upgrading sounds cool but the best return on investment is getting it on the bike new if your budget allows, if not...ok.
Roadbike.com reviews are extremely useful.
I just checked geometry of my frame and the Sprint. Almost identical for 56 and 58cm sizes.
5'10" sounds like your either a 56 or 58cm size unless you are long/short legs or arms. Theres an excellent sizing calculator at:
