For myself it was watching the 1984 Olympic Road Race in my home town of Los Angeles. The race was in Orange County on a brutal course in Laguna Niguel with temps in the 90's. Alexi vs. Bauer. What a finish!! That was the spark! Do any old timers remember? That was a finish! Awesome stuff! I get chills still when I see the stills of the sprint. What a crowd!! How about you?
