I Stumped Sheldon.

I had a question lingering in my mind. I thought to myself, "I bet Sheldon Brown would know. He knows Everything!" Well, it turns out he doesn't. Who would've thought?

I asked Sheldon about whether or not I should mask the spoke holes on my hubs which are to be powdercoated. Spoke holes are about 2.5mm, and 14ga spokes are only 2.0mm. 15ga spokes are 1.8mm. I asked if there are any reasons I should be concerned about masking them (like spoke flange seats, or something). I also asked him about how I might trry getting out stuck cartridge bearings (Other than tri-flow and WD-40, which I tried). This was his reply:

He either didn't care to answer, or he doesn't know. I mentioning this because as the kind of guy that asks A LOT of questions about EVERYTHING, I'm proud to have stumped someone who always seemed to have the answers within this particular field.

That is all.
