That letour derailier looks like the one on my 76 sports tourer. Are those decent RDs? Mine shifts terribly...maybe it just needs some maintenance? By the way, your paramount looks awesome. I'm counting down the years til I get one.
The Schwinn-approved Le Tour GT300 rear derailleur was a rebadged Shimano Crane, and was standard on the P15-9 Paramounts (triple chainrings) after 1971 and until at least 1976 because the Campy Gran Tourismo RD Schwinn had used on the 1971 P15-9 was such a piece of junk. I never had any real trouble with my GT300, but replaced it with a later Record long cage, and that resulted in significantly smoother shifts.
