That is correct. More climbing from Front Royal heading south, and the return is a lot faster. I'll try to post a profile tomorrow, but we have a power outage form the thunderstorms and my desktop is silent, and that is where my Polar profiles are. The climbs aren't tough, just long. Its drop dead gorgeous.

The Elk Wallow campground, with a store and greasy spoon kitchen is around mile marker 23. Its a National Park so there aren't many resources out there except the Elk Wallow place and then around mile 45 or 50 there's a couple lodges. Note the durations included a stop for lunch and probably a couple photo op stops.
