Thanks for the feedback! I bought this bike with the intent to "fiddle" with it and learn more about how bikes work, since I am a newbie at this, and I don't want to screw up my "good" bikes. I have always read pretty postive things about the old Raleigh Grand Prixs, and so, for $10, why not?

I know it might be hard to tell from the photos, but are the forks fixable, or is the bike trashed? I don't want to spend time on something not worth working on.
