Yes, that isn't too uncomming, I have a OMM rack which uses a longer QR mount as the lower eyelet on a front suspension fork, the skewar sticks out a bit from the locking nut on the QR, not a big deal so long as you're not hitting yourself with it and cutting up your leg. (no problems here)..
