I always wear a helmet and wish others would too. There is not enough time in life to deal with people that make safety decisions based on a "cool factor". Unfortunately not wearing a helmet also involves other peoples safety to..... The kids. One thing is certain about kids, they want to do what the adults do and will try to copy their actions all the time, so when kids see a "cool" biker zipin down the road without a helmet, it is a mini life lesson to them (same goes for cigs too)

Besides, any biker that sees another biker with a helmet on doesnt think they are "un-cool" because of it and any non-biker ALREADY thinks you are a dork because you are on a bike, helmet or not.

Glad you didnt get hurt more than you did. Be careful and heal up fast!
