Better even than eggbeaters? I've actually thought of doing similar on my bike, mainly because of getting sqeezed way too much by buses. My hands are almost always right by the stem anyways. Sometimes I just ride with one hand on the stem, palm down, fingers over the bar, and the other holding a cigarette.
