if you want to know what a hipster is go to one of the dive bars on division avenue between ashland and damon in chicago. i lived in this area and loved it. i walked into one of these dives a few years ago and the music literally stopped. mind you when i walk into a bar in small town america i get looks for being "different". but these cats looked at me with eyes that screamed "hey, you're not a hipster, get out!" most that i have met are very friendly, but it is obvious that in their attempt to be different they ended up being just like everyone else trying to be different. lets face it. we can all be placed into a category.
