Well that's is the way it is. $50-75 bike with trashed pedals and cranks
and uncertain functionality in the shifters. Owner with no tools and no
knowledge. No idea if cranks/BB are 'standard' or special ultra lowgrade
Chinese junk. Pedals may or may not have special thread otherwise
known as half inch. Sure it is fixable. Is it worth while? I suggest no.
I also threw away my Commodore 64 and am about to junk 4 TV sets
and gave away a chain saw with no compression. I have recycled a
Teledyne Titan into a quite functional bike and ditto a PX10. I did have
to throw away a Simplex derailler set and the Mafac brakes.
