40F @ 6AM with just a few high clouds & bright stars above. It was only up to 48F by lunch time. We got some pretty heavy rain later & when I rode home, it was still raining steadily but had warmed up to 52F. Traffic was light & courteous. (edit)I forgot to mention that I suffered a chain drop/jam on the way in this morning: A quick, multigear shift made the chain drop & jam between the cog & the seat stay. I was able to coast down hill & up onto the sidewalk next to the I-5 onramp. Tightest jam I ever saw but thanks to good illumination from cars entering the freeway, I was able to free it up & be on my way without completely removing the rear wheel.(edit) Don
