When did they make these? I went through the Specialized archive and couldn't find them. I'm only curious as I was out riding and happened to see a guy with one - he was really nice and we rode for a few miles before I had to branch off.

Preliminary research suggests they may be a European version, but the guy told me he got it at a shop the next town up.
