Those post mounts suck. I had one that couldn't hold any weight, kept slipping. That bike & rack were stolen so I went w/ a bike that could hold a rear mounting rack.
If you are riding a road racing bike those distances you will be able to ride for days on an old touring bike. It's like riding a chaise lounge. Takes you a little longer but such a sweet ride. Again in my NOT so humble opinion. Charlie
