Spinning will help your cadence (and is great for winter training rides). A 52/16 in gear-inches is 87 and change. If you run a 45/14 you'll get about 86 gear-inches. That would be the easiest way IMO. Plus, that would let you switch to a spinning cog in the winter, or if you want to develop better cadence.
