Hey guys,
I've been riding a hybrid about 5x a week for 3 months, and am ready to upgrade to a more serious road bike. I'm not going to be racing, so I'm looking for a good road bike designed with more comfortable geometry for a longer trip, but also one that will have good performance.
I think I want the Cannondale Synapse Carbon 5 ($1900).

I like the Cannondale Synapse 5 because its a reputable brand and I'm no expert on bike parts, this series is supposed to have comfortable geometry, and performance should be very good as it is carbon, and the reviews seemed positive for carbon synapse series.
Do you guys think this model is a good idea/bad idea based on my needs? I'm not trying to save $100-$200 bucks, but want to make sure this is a good quality bike before I purchase it. (Note: know to go and test this before I purchase)
Thank you very much for all your input, it is VERY MUCH appreciated since I have really no where else to turn
