After they tell you they can't serve you at the drive-thru, walk into the lobby bringing your bike with you.
Anybody want to try that? Anybody... Bueller...
OOO OOO OOO!!! ME ME ME!!! PICK ME PICK ME!!!
I LOVE seeing what I can get away with when it comes to this. I left for a ride today and realized I didn't have my sunglasses so, on my way, I stop at a BP to get a cheap pair. I walk the bike in, try on a few pair with it leaning against me, find a pair, wheel it over to the register, pay and RIDE OUT...lol...no one said a word. I DID get some REALLY weird looks, though. I've had the grocery store people let me bring it in before (they were actually VERY open to it) as did the people at Dick's sporting goods. Most people don't seem to care and, if it'll ruffle their feathers THAT bad, I'll leave it outside (or go somewhere else if they're asses about it). I just couldn't justify spending 5 min to unteather my cable lock, locking it up, then unlocking it and putting the lock away when I was only going to be in there for about 30 seconds.
And I know the branch manager at my bank as well as most of the tellers so I doubt they'd say anything to me...plus they're pretty cool in general. But I'll try it!
