I justed checked out the local PD's web site:
Please Register your bicycle: The department receives hundreds of found bicycles each year. If the owner of the bicycle cannot be located or the bicycle goes unclaimed, the found bicycles are then donated to the local toy mission.
Guess that means no auctions.
