A few pics, note the cracks in the foam from hitting the road....I hit the pavement when I was in a standing sprint and the rear wheel spun out on some sand, as near as I can determine. The crash actually happened so fast, I'm not sure, really. I felt a very brief moment of instability and the next thing I knew, I was on the pavement, still clipped in, the bike pointing toward the sky and the most tremendous buzzing/ringing sound in my head, trying to figure out if I was dead yet.....
The helmet saved me from a major head injury, in both my opinion and the doctor's.
