I got an invite to a 1-series driving event here in Montreal and was really pleased with the way the 135 felt. It had good power and handled really well especially with the option adaptive steering. On paper adaptive steering sounds like nothing more than a parlour trick but I have to admit while driving there is a significant feel between a car with and without it. Too bad it doesn't come in a station wagon model.
