After being complimented by some female friends I bumped into on the street today, I just had to check... sure enough, I've dropped 15 lbs. and one and a half pant sizes since getting my fixed gear Surly Cross-Check back in April and going very car-light. Sorry for gushing, but I'm jazzed!

Amazing what towing little kids in a Wike trailer with a fixed gear will do... sure beats the crap out of loafing around in a minivan
