Also-Also: saw two baby raccoons wrestling in the humber trail system - those buggers are pretty cute.
Get a backpack. Messenger bags are convenient, in that you can swing them around and access the contents easily, but no matter how well designed they are, the majority of the weight is on one shoulder and it will pull accross your chest. A well designed backpack will be much more comfortable. I know this because I have spend a great deal of time delivering heavy crap in a messenger bag.
