I'm trying to remove the cranks from an '04 Specialized Allez Elite. It has Octalink stickers on a Specialized crank. I have a Aireon crank removal tool, but the push bolt is too short to get the thing moving. I thread in the push-bolt holder, and then thread in the push bolt, but it goes all the way in and nothing happens.
Has anyone heard of this before? Did i just buy a cheap tool? Are there different sizes of push bolts? This is my first time doing some maintenance, and I don't want to goof it up.
