Bikes: Cannondale T700s and a few others

I use to bike a LOT....20 years ago. Never lived closeenough to a job to concider bicycle commuting till a couple years ago.

I now work in a 20k facility with 200million in inventory at any given time staffed by 10 people. No A/C in the back so getting a good sweat is pretty common. Coming in sweaty just gets the inevitable over with early.

I live 4.3 miles away from work so not a hard ride really. Tank of gas was lasting me a month in most instances so it was not a money thing ever. It has always been a health thing for me as I have a history of heart problems and needed to loose the weight and get the cardio. I have a couple good hills along the way to get the heart rate up and the legs burning so its a nice 20 minute work out twice a day.

Most of us where I work are a bunch of heavy weights moving around equipment that weighs any where for 2lb circuit cards to 3500lb batteries and I move as much of it as I can without the fork lift for the work out I can get pushing carts and pallet jacks.

Our Lead admin (she is not a heavy weight at all and takes good care of herself) got us taking a brisk walk 30min at lunch last year when she was on a diet. We all needed to be on that diet as well. LOL That lasted about a month till we were hitting high 90's and the people that got to sit in the cool office all day dropped off. I was having issues with my ankles as well so it didn't last the summer.

My coworkers have been supportive of my riding. Always giving encouragin words and compliments about loosign the weight. Visitors are always curious about the Bike in the lobby and running my AirZound out of air playing with it.

I'm at around 7 weeks and still looking forward to the ride in every morning. I get at least three days a week. I am on the road one or two days a week delivering equipment all over the state and like to drag my heavy old laptop and GPS with me for navigation so thats my limiting deal but I think I may just start swinging by the house on the way out to get them so I can get the full week in.

I sold one of my bikes that was too small for me to a coworker. He is all fired up about riding now. He is planning on hoping the bus for part of the ride but should still get about 4 miles of seat time each way. He is the only other person in the office that lives close enough to make it practical.

Its been good all the way around despite crazy drivers. I'm down a full 20lb since Feb between riding and better diet and not to far off from needing to go down a second hole on the belt. My pants are falling off of me.
