Bad idea.

Riding an improperly sized chain because the chain is worn is just asking for trouble.

Chain "stretch" isn't a phenomenon where the chain actually stretches in size...it's due to metal surfaces wearing down.

Check for wear, and check for proper chain length. Do not shorten to attempt to compensate for wear.
