I've been having the same symptons. Ends up it was the pedals, in my case. Try swapping your pedals with a different pair, if you can, to troubleshoot the source of the symptom clicking. Swapping pedals as a troubleshooting step is a lot easier than changing out a BB.
As far as my pedal clicking problem is concerned. I greased the cleat bolts ( I didn't when I originally installed the cleats). Then I tightened them down as much as I could, and the clicking seems to have stopped. But now the cleats are creaking, sometimes. I'm still messing with this. In any case, I know the source of my problems right now are coming from my pedal/cleat/shoe area.
Originally I'd have sworn the clicking was originating from the BB. I'd read some old threads, and it sounds like a variety of problems can transmit sound to the BB area, including cassette problems or even seat creaking. So I'd recommend ruling out some of these other simple to test areas before messing with the BB. There's a pretty good Sheldon Brown page on this exact topic, but I'm too lazy to look it up for ya.
