Actually, Chinese has been steadily switching to mopeds in past 15 years. That's why the air quality over major Chinese Cities are poor and oil price is where it is today (it's the demand, stupid).

I went to Southern China (the region responsible for most of the "Made in China" products in the world) for a 5 day vacation. I was blowing black stuff out of my nose (sorry for the graphic details) and I was greeted by the wonderful smell of diesel fumes every morning as I walk out of the house.

The current Commie bike heaven, I believe, is North Korea.

Maybe we all need to start a new city in this country called Bike-ville where it's designed from ground up for bikes.
