Bikes: Trek 7100

Please tell us your age: 54

1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?

Trek 7100.

2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?

Flowmax.

3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?

I pay more attention to the moments of life. But life's getting shorter. I don't have time to slow down.

4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?

I got back into riding a couple of months ago. I hadn't ridden a bike since my Peugeot 10-speed was stolen out of the school parking lot 24 years ago, the *******s.

5. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides, commute, tour, race?

Recreational riding. I ride for pleasure. I worked my way up slowly from 20-30 minutes a day to between 10 and 15 miles on a typical day. I rode a 24-miler last Thursday. I've put almost 400 miles on my bike so far.

6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?

I ride every day. My annual-mileage report will have to wait 10 months.

7. Do you do any other type of physical activities - weight lifting, skiing, running, etc.?

I was a runner up till four years ago. I ran 30-35 miles a week year round. I ran and finished three marathons. I'm threatening to buy a new pair of Sauconys.
