Anyone heard of Marchesini?

A friend of mine has an old bike (looks like 70's vintage). It is a lugged steel Italian frame (weighs a ton)with a Zeus seat (totally shot I am afraid), Campi Record 5 speed rear derailleur and front derailleur. It has grind and find shifters on the downtube. It is fairly beat up and would require a major restoration. I am trying to find out if it is worth the bother. Aside from having to disassembled it and clean and paint it, I will probably have to replace some parts to get it to work I haven't found anything about it on any of the websites. Apparently Machesini makes high end mag wheels for motorcycles now (Ducati and such).

Any assistance would be appreciated!!

Thanks...Bill Levey
