Right, well, if you really believe that, I suppose this discussion's at an end. Sure, drivers behave erratically. They don't, in my experience, tow a baby stroller or a dog on a leash behind them; they rarely stop in the middle of the road to take or make a cellphone call, or for no reason at all, whereas that behavior is common among pedestrians; and they don't form a phalanx to cover the entire width of the road, put-put-putter along and expect that they can do this forever and not move.
Your approach to automotive traffic, well, we'll just have to agree to disagree about that one too. All I can say is if I rode by your rules, it would probably not be worth it for me to commute on a bike. You can feel free to say that you're right and I'm wrong if it makes you happy.
