I lived in Shreveport, La. last year and I don't think anyone could pay me enough to ride any long distance in the middle of summer there. Just too HOT and humid!
Thankfully I'm back north now. Battling winter conditions is worth it, if it means no obscenely hot days like down there.
Good for you though, that you can do it! Just not a summer-person here.
