There is one little thing that I dislike MUPs over. They tend to be isolated and put you in close quarters with potentially mischievous characters. I have one section of the path that I ride where I was spit at by a female meth user and shoved off the trail by a teenager. I now avoid that portion of the path like the plaque but all in all the rest of the path is a good ride.

The paths around here go through some pretty isolated, forested areas. Because of the price of housing in this area, homeless people live in those woods. Many of these homeless people are of questionable character. As a lone female rider, I do not feel comfortable riding in those areas.
I think the police have been trying to clean those areas up, so they may be better now than they were a couple years ago, but even so, I haven't risked it.
