a thule T-2 works well for two bikes-
easy on and off,
bikes sit on their wheels so no damage to frame/paint,
probably the only downside is the bikes get some road spray
in the rain (all hitch mounted racks have this)- however i think
with the T-2 riding a little lower the bikes might get more than
with a higher hitch mount.
