Magnesium or titanium?

I have been looking for a new road bike for not too much money (sorry I can't afford that Cervelo Soloist Team), so I was trolling ebay for a CAAD8 or CAAD9 frame when I came across an inexpensive magnesium frame by Litech. I snatched it up thinking I could build it up and save piles of money while making all the other cyclists jealous of my frame material.

When my search for a new bike began, I was hoping to spend around $1100. Well, I crunched the numbers on the magnesium build and it will total about $1600 for a nominal weight of 15.76 lb without tires/tubes. That's a little over budget. For almost the same price and weight, I could get a titanium Le Champion from Bikes Direct ($1700, 17.5 lb). I also wouldn't have to build it or pay an LBS to help me (I would plan on letting an LBS install the headset because I don't know how to do that).

I haven't ridden either material, but I'm lightweight familiar with their reputations. If you had the choice between the magnesium or the titanium, which would you choose?
