Ah, so Noleen and Girvin were one and the same? I do remember their marketing pitch being that the fork travelled straight up and down when it hit a bump as opposed to the lateral forces exerted on the legs of a regular fork. I never got a chance to ride one and always kinda wondered if in fact they held any merit over a standard fork.
