Right so he probably got some at cost, but i've talked to some friends who work at shops and i work at a backpacking/camping store, and the cost on bike parts isn't exactly 50% its more like 60-70% depending on what items are being purchased. Whereas in my store (all camping/backpacking/outdoor/snowboardin/skiing) cost on pretty much everything is 50%. Pricing all the parts out for me to build this exact bike would have cost me around $1,100 since i don't have the opportunity to buy items at cost (atleast not bike items) only camping/backpacking gear.
