Laced differently, yes, but it looks as though his straps are at least passed through the buckles correctly. HOWEVER, if I'm not mistaken, it's best not to have them tucked into the pedals, for ease of tightening/loosening.
How easy do you find it to adjust yours with your straps tucked into the buckles? I've got Toshi doubles too, and I just have mine just passed through the serrated edge, no tuck. That way I just pull up on the straps to tighten, and flick the buckles outward with my palms to loosen enough to get my foot out. I would imagine it would be a bit more troublesome to have to pull down on the straps to tighten, but I don't actually know..
