Go with light weight 32mm tires like Jack Browns or Schwalbe Marathon Racer or Panaracer Paselas. Narrower tires are not necessarily faster; it's better constructed tires that are faster. 32 and 35mm tires with more air in them are a good choice for less than perfect roads and they are a good choice for big riders.
