Yeah, the 500 would have the same range as the 350. however, if you need the extra speed, the 500 is definitely great to have. Too bad they didn't sell the 500 with a 48V 10AH battery instead of the 36V one.
I got the kit through someone I knew in CA. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to get it.
