There is a 50 mile loop that is used for the Kentucky 50-mile ultra-marathon. It starts and ends in the E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, KY. Most of the route is on country roads. There is about a 3/4 mile stretch along a busy road without much shoulder at the start and about a 2-3 mile stretch along a busy road with a nice shoulder. It does have some hills and sharp turns.

I don't have the map with me right now (I'm at work, the map is on my home computer). I'll try to post it on my website tonight and get a link posted here.

If you end up riding near Columbus, Indiana, let me know. If it's a weekend, I'd love to join you for a ride. Depending on the weekend, I may be able to join you for one day in Kentucky.
