I'm not elitist, but it's different when you see someone who looks like a commuter versus someone riding a Walmart bike. With the former you can share a sense of camaraderie, with the latter you have nothing in common because you are riding a bike because you want to and they are not necessarily.

Attitudes like these get me excited, but in a negative way. But this is the internet, so chatter on about with whom YOU are willing to share your "sense of camaraderie."
