I just picked up an old Univega Nuovo sport. It seems to be in decent shape, I know it's nothing special, but thought it might be decent for a few rides during the week.

The rear wheel is Marked " Araya 27 x 1 1/8 W/O Japan " and the tire (thats need to be replaced) is Marked " Univega 27 x 1 1/8 Sport touring - and what looks to be " 100 PST 320 GR" Maybe the PST is actually PSI ?? Also on the rear tire is "28-630 (27 x 1 1/8)" Not sure what the 28-630 means.

The front wheel is not original and is unmarked but tire size is 27 x 1 1/4.

I'll make an assumption that neither wheel is of the hooked rim variety and that if I want to have tire pressures in the 100 PSI range, that I will need a new wheel set ??? If so any recomendations that won't break the bank ??
